About Me


I am a postdoctoral scholar at MIT. I started this blog in 2009 when I moved to Paris as a postdoc at l’École Normale Supérieure and worked on the Willow project. I fell in love with a French man who lived in Boston, and here we are. You can find an explanation of the title here.

I earned my PhD in computer science at the University of Washington and miss Seattle and all my friends very much. When I’m not working or learning French, I play ultimate and hockey. My team for five years in Seattle was Viva and I played for two years (and went to Worlds!) with Yaka.
